• Asharqia Young Businesswomen Council engaged in dialogue discussing the role of young women in the economic development of the Shura Council

    The President of Asharqia Young Businesswomen Council, Najla Al-Abdulqader, confirmed the Kingdom's keenness to support women in all the different sectors especially in the business sector through the Kingdom's strategic agencies.

    She noted that the women's business sector is fully sponsored in the Kingdom by believing in the role of women and their active participation in the development of the economic sector.

    Al-Abdulqader pointed to the success of the Council's tour, which was launched recently in the capital Riyadh for two days.

    She pointed out that the Council visited a number of official bodies to identify the most prominent aspects of support for young women entrepreneurs, which reflects positively on the roles offered by Saudi women in all economic and social fields.

    She pointed out that the Council participated in a dialogue session held by the Saudi Shura Council last Tuesday, which was chaired by the Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Sama'an, which aims to enhance the role of young men and women in the construction and development under the Vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

    Al-abdulqadir said that the dialogue session discussed several issues such as knowing the services provided by government agencies, youth organizations, the most important financial, regulatory and advisory challenges facing them, in addition to future opportunities.

    She stressed that the dialogue session has received great momentum, with the participation of members of the Shura Council, representatives of a number of ministries and bodies, and young businessmen in the Chambers of Riyadh and Mecca.

     

    The Board had visited the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) where they met with the Deputy Governor for developing the entrepreneurial environment, Issam Al-Zukair, who praised the role played by the Young Businesswomen Council in Asharqia Chamber based on the Council's activities and programs.

    He stressed the support of the Authority for all that would support this activity and to overcome the challenges that may face the Council in any joint actions.

     

    The council also met in Riyadh with a number of relevant authorities, where they met with the Vice President for International Affairs at the General Authority for Culture, Khalid Al-Saqr and Dr. Maha Al-Senan, Director of Educational Programs, where a number of initiatives were launched to support the young business sector in the Eastern Province.

     

    It also visited the Saudi Federation for Community Sports where they met with its former president, Her Royal Highness Princess Reema Bint Bandar Bin Sultan.

    They had reviewed the possibility of participating in the activities and programs offered by the Federation in cooperation with the holding of workshops in addition to the presentation of initiatives between the Council and the Federation.

     

    The Council concluded its visit to the capital Riyadh by visiting King Khalid Foundation, as they met with the Director of Social Investment, Nadine Hassassian, the Director of Capacity Building Programs, Ilham Al-sunaie.

    The highlights of the achievements of the institution were reviewed at the level of the region, and the mechanism to develop the programs of the Council was discussed.​
